Boeing 747-800 Lateral Control Electronics

System Overview The Lateral Control Electronics is a subsystem of the 747-8 Lateral Control System that controls the flight surfaces to provide roll command and control for two outboard aileron actuators, roll and speedbrake command and control for 6 spoilers (3 symmetric spoiler pairs), trailing edge flap skew detection, excitation, and demodulation of system sensors, system input/output redundancy management, digital interfaces to/from other aircraft systems, and safety maintenance monitoring.
